If you’re staying at the Melia Benidorm, there’s plenty to do in the local area as you really are in the heart of Benidorm. While you might want to spend all day, every day by the pool (especially if you’ve book an all inclusive holiday), it’s well recommended to head out of the hotel and explore Benidorm or the local area of the Costa Blanca, no matter whether you’re an active person or prefer a more chilled out holiday.
Benidorm’s signature water park, Melia Benidorm to Aqualandia will take around 5 minutes in a taxi or is about a 30 minute walk. Located next to Mundomar animal park, Aqualandia offers holidaymakers a variety of fun and entertaining water slides and activities, from the scary drop of Verti-Go to the more relaxing Amazon lazy river. It’s definitely a fun day out for all the family.
Staying at the Melia Benidorm, you’re also near Llevant Beach, in fact it’s just a 12 minute walk away, so a day building castles in the sand is a great way to get away from the pool and enjoy the turquoise sea off the coast of the Costa Blanca.
If you want to explore a little, head to the Old Town of Benidorm for a bit of history, culture and some delicious tapas bars. It’s also home to Benidorm’s gay scene with plenty of friendly bars to enjoy.
There are loads of day trips and excursions you can take from Benidorm and can be prebooked before you travel, or in resort once you arrive. From cultural shows and Spanish cooking classes, to discovering some of the quieter parts of the Costa Blanca, there’s plenty to see and do. Why not try something new and exciting like kite surfing or paragliding.
